Oh the Places You'll Go

If you know me at all, you know that I love to travel. I did quite a bit of traveling in the past couple of months including Washington DC, Denver, Colorado Springs, New York City, Florida, New Orleans, and Lafayette. I don't think I am forgetting any cities. There are still many different places I would like to go in the US. I am not even going to get into different countries because that list would get way too long. Here is my list in no particular order.

1. Charleston

I have been dying to go to Charleston for so long. There are so many shops that I would like to go to, museums to visit, and beaches close by. I love me a good southern town and feel like this is the perfect picture of one!

2. Savannah

If I ever make it to Charleston, I would absolutely sneak Savannah into that trip also. I imagine it is a gorgeous cute Southern town just like Charleston.

3. San Francisco

Doesn't everyone want to go here simply because of Full House? Thought so.

4. Chicago

I can't wait to go here and do some serious shopping. It seems like a girl's paradise!

5. San Diego

Mountains and the ocean? What more could you ask for?

6. Boston

Boston is such a cute town with so much history. Just look at that street how charming it is.

7. Alaska

I think going to Alaska would be so much fun. I would absolutely love to see all of the wildlife that we definitely don't have in Houston.

8. Hawaii

After looking at this picture, do I really need to explain why I want to go there?

Hopefully in the next year, I can cross at least one of these off of my list, but I am hoping for two! Have you been to any of these places? What are your thoughts?

  1. I love travel dreaming....Charleston & Savannah are both adorable southern towns & you could probably do them both in a long weekend. We loved San Diego last year- perfect year round weather & so many things do do.

Chicago is best in the summer & Hawaii needs a week at least! We've been trying to hit up San Fran for several years & had our plans fall through at the last minute twice :( Maybe this year we'll get there & do some Napa/Sonoma visits too.

Boston is that last big city I haven't really visited & we want to go back to Chicago for a festival (maybe St Patii's day one year?). I did an Alaska cruise about 10 years ago & it was amazing- sending my parents this summer for my mom's birthday/retirement.

    Happy travels this year!

PS if you like mountains & ocean, be sure to put Puerto Vallarta , Seattle & California Coast (Big sur) on your list too. You can see all my travels here http://www.clickthegoodnews.com/travels/life-travel-log/

  2. I may have to steal your idea for this post and do one of my own this week! Love this!
I've been to all these places except for the last two. Alaska and HI.
San Francisco and Charleston are by far two of my favorite cities in the whole country.
The other place you should add to your list?? Lake Tahoe!!! In the Summer or the Winter it's fab!
I'll be posting later today about an awesome place we're visiting this time next month!!! Stay tuned!

  7. My husband is from the Boston area and it is such an amazing city to visit! I just love New England in general.

My brother in law went to College of Charleston and it is such a beautiful town! I've never seen so much seersucker and floppy hats, too.

I've always wanted to go to Savannah, Hawaii and Chicago!

  9. I'd love to go to Boston & Chicago.

I live in Savannah so I'm kinda "over" the southern charm already, lol. It is a really nice place, though. Particularly the downtown area.

I am a single 20 something teacher in Charleston. I love to shop, decorate, cook, work with children, hang out with friends, and do anything in/on the water. Living near the beach definitely has its perks! I graduated from LSU and I LOVE to watch football. I will watch almost any college football game, but obviously love my tigers! I love to hang out with my family and hope to have my own one day.
