I am a single, 20 something teacher who just made a big move to Charleston, SC from Houston, TX. I am just beginning my new life in Charleston, and I am having a blast! Maybe I will be here for awhile, maybe just a year. Who knows! I am always up for an adventure!

I love to shop, decorate, cook, travel, work with children, and hang out with friends. I have been in several running clubs, but have recently slacked off. I guess I need to get back on it! I want to do a half marathon in February! Since moving to Charleston, I have picked up some new favorite hobbies- going to the beach, going boating, and occasionally fishing!

I was born and raised in Louisiana and graduated from LSU. I LOVE to watch football. I will watch almost any college football game, but obviously love my tigers! I love to hang out with my family. I hope to have my own family one day. I always said I wanted 6 kids- 3 girls and 3 boys. As the years go by, that number is slowly decreasing. I was always jealous of my friends that had big families and were so close to each other. I am trying to get more involved in church and get closer to God each day. I was raised in a Southern Baptist church and would like to be involved in a church in Charleston. My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 which gives me hope whenever I am having a bad time in my life.

I am not a chef. I am not a fashionista. I am not a star on HGTV. I am not a photographer. I am not a foodie. I am not an athlete. I am not a nutritionist. However, from time to time, I will blog about all of the above things because this is my blog and I can!

Above is a picture from skiing in Beaver Creek. I am not a skier. This picture was taken the ONE time I went down the mountain. When I got down, I was done! On the way up while in the ski lift, I dropped my pole. I about had a panic attack! Seriously......

Above is me and my best friend since kindergarten when we took a girls trip to Los Angeles. We love to take trips, just the two of us. We went to New York City one year and LA the next year. We are currently planning our next trip. Where should we go???

That is my nephew, Brady. He was born on September 29, 2009. He is at such a fun age and is so cute. I wish I could see him more often.

I now have 2 nephews as of January 30, 2012. This is Luke. Brady calls him "Duke."

These are my 2 babies- Sophie (7) and Maggie (2). I cannot imagine life without them. I am probably more over protective of them than many mothers are of their own children!
