Yes, LSU choked. They did not play like a #1 team should play. It was probably the worst I have seen the offense play all year. With that being said, I am still very proud of my team. 13-1 is not an easy task. Congrats to Bama. They showed up to play last night. We did not. 

Onto a new year, new season, and a new quarterback! 

Worst Pick Up Line EVER

You had to know I would write about LSU today right? It's ONLY their biggest game of the whole year! I am so excited/nervous for this game! I cannot wait!! I am so proud of the team for coming as far as they have. 


So a couple of weeks ago, I was at a gym in Colorado wearing a BCS National Championship game shirt. See below.....

I was doing some of the weight machines and these 2 guys kept looking at me. It was the sort of looking where you know they will eventually approach you, so I am trying to avoid all eye contact. The inevitable happened and this is how it all went down.....


Dude: So what does BCS stand for?
Me: (speechless, do you have a penis?) Ummm well its Bowl Championship Series, it's a shirt for the National Championship football game. 
Dude: Oh OK. Who is playing?
Me:  LSU and Alabama (like it says on my shirt)
Dude: Oh cool. Who are you going for?
Me: LSU
Dude: Well that's cool. Did you go see when LSU played the Falcons here? That was a pretty awesome game. 


At this point I am totally speechless. Not only is he discussing a college team and a NFL team, but I am in Colorado. Why would  those teams have played there recently? 


Me: (totally speechless) Umm no I didn't see that game.
Dude: Oh. Well how is your workout?
Me: Good, and I am gonna get back to it.....as I walk away




That may have been the WORST attempt to pick up a girl EVER. Please don't talk to a girl from the South about football if you know NOTHING about it. I've never in my life met a guy that knew that little about football. 


With that being said, GEAUX TIGERS!!!!! I soooo wish I was in New Orleans right now!!

Fun with Phones- Nephew

This post is all about my two year old nephew who broke his leg this past weekend. Poor thing! He is being such a "big big boy" about it though! Those were his words to the doctor. I can't wait to see him this weekend and I will have no problem carrying him around!

WTH happened to my phone??? I have an appointment with Apple Genius bar today! I sure hope they can fix it because I am missing my camera! 


I sure wish it was time for an upgrade so I could have my own Siri!

My First It's OK Thursday

This is my first time linking up with Amber and Neely for It's OK Thursdays. 

It's OK................
That I'm already decorating for Christmas since I am only going to be at my apartment for a short time during December. I want to enjoy it!
That I ate ice cream cake for dinner last night!
That I have a pinterest board for wedding inspiration even though I am not even engaged or close to it!
That I have done way too much shopping lately for myself (makeup, nail polish, boots, scarves, etc)!
That I bought the first Christmas gift last night!
That I have about 20 loads of laundry on my bathroom floor!
That I did nothing on Tuesday night except watch TV because I finally had cable!
That I only ran 2.5 miles last night instead of the intended 4.
That I got a Kindle for my birthday 3 months ago and have only read 40% of the first book purchased. 
And last but not least, that I am counting down the days until Thanksgiving break!

Comcast Part Deux

There was also an episode in September where I didn't have cable or Internet for a week. That was very briefly blogged about here. If I had known the issues I would have later on, I would have written much more! 


Timeline of problems with Comcast


September 19-24: I have no cable or Internet for a week. The guy finally comes a week later and has to rewire things to fix it. 
November 1: I come home from work and the cable and Internet is out. I call, but they cannot come until Saturday, the day of the LSU game. 
November 5: You can read about how well that visit went from my blog post Part One. 


After numerous phone calls and emails, an appointment was made for Monday, November 14. Please notice that that is 2 weeks of no service that I am paying for. 


So now here we are at November 14. My appointment time was from 4:00-6:00. Being silly and stupid, I thought they might show up as close to 4:00 as possible given all of the other circumstances that have happened. 


Around 5:00, I called Comcast because I never received a confirmation call earlier. Being that this is like my tenth appointment (feels like it anyway) in the past month, I knew I should have gotten a call. The lady puts me on hold for awhile and then comes back and says she doesn't know why they didn't call, but they are coming.


At 5:45 (15 minutes before their window closes), another lady calls to tell me that the tech will be about an hour late. SERIOUSLY!!!!???


He shows up around 6:15 or so and is the rudest tech I have ever experienced. He argued with me about things that weren't even important. There was no reason for me to ask him questions because he would give me a rude response.  After a short time of being at my house, he tells me that he CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. He will have to come back another day. You are KIDDING right?? 


He says he needs to get a survey from my apartment and can't do anything until then. Well guess what! The last guy said that too so what is going on???? Get with the program!!


After he leaves, someone from Comcast calls me around 8:00 and tells me that someone else will be coming to try to fix it tonight. Two guys show up around 8:30 or so and work until about 10:30 (way past my bed time). He is extremely nice thank goodness. I couldn't handle another rude tech after the previous one. Long story short, he was able to fix the problem with the cable. Unfortunately the Internet is still not working, but I hope that will get fixed today. I might spend ANOTHER night waiting on Comcast. Apparently all of the other techs that have tried to fix it aren't the brightest employees around. 




I will keep you updated on Part 3 because I fully intend on getting a credit on my account and getting compensated for the HASSLE this has been. 

My first Birchbox

I am sure you have all heard about birchbox, but if you haven't you can check it out here. You pay $10 and you get 4-5 samples of beauty products delivered to your door. I signed up and got my first box yesterday! 


This item was in my box. I was excited about it because I was actually going to go buy something very similar very soon! 

This hairtie was in my box too. I haven't used it, but I will let you know how it works. 

This mascara was also in my box. I am always trying out new mascaras so I was excited about this!

This night cream was in my box. I used it last night. I will need more time to let you know how it works! 

And last, this serum was also in my box. I haven't used it yet, but it sounds like it will be helpful to smooth out frizzies and protect against heat. 

I was definitely pleased with my first box of samples. It is also exciting to get a package in the mail full of surprises!
