Books

When I was younger, I used to go to the library and check out 5 or more books at a time. I would go home and read them all in a week. I absolutely loved to read. As I have become older, I slowly stopped reading so much. For the past few years, I have read less than 5 books per year. I got a kindle for my birthday back in September and really did not use it until around February or so when I started reading The Hunger Games series. 


Since then, I have read many books and it feels great to get back into it. Some of the books I have read (and really enjoyed) in the past couple of months are....

Now I need to get a good summer reading list going. I will have lots of time on the beach alone in Charleston and nothing makes the time go by faster than a good book!

My mom wanted us to take the typical white family pictures on the beach. As soon as we opened the door to go outside, it started pouring! Thankfully it did not last too long! So here it goes...sorry for the picture overload! This is my last vacation post!

We stayed at The Pearl in Navarre Beach. 

We had a blast and cannot wait to go back! Most of our days were spent on the beach with the exception of going to Destin one day to shop at Destin Commons and the outlet mall. I got some super cute clothes from Private Gallery.

I got another dress, but couldn't find it online. 

While we were in Destin, we ate at Dewey's Seafood, which was soooo good! I would highly recommend it. It looks like a hole in the wall, and you would never ever find it unless you knew about it. 

Other restaurants we went to either on the way to Florida, while we were there, or on the way home were Tacky Jack's, Stinky's Fish Camp, and Wintzell's. The fried catfish and the oysters at Stinky's were awesome. The key lime pie was TO DIE FOR! Now I need to fast for a week to lose the 3434 pounds I gained!

How I spent my beach vacation......

I could not put them down!!! I started the first book on Saturday and finished all 3 by Thursday morning. My family (aunts, uncles, etc) kept asking me what I was reading and I just couldn't bring myself to tell them! I didn't want them to ask what the book was about! 

Since I have been back, I read On the Island which was a good quick read. Now I am looking for another book.

Any suggestions??

9 more full days of school left. Can I get a hallelujah!!?

5 more days until my summer tenant arrives to stay at my apartment!

16 more days left in Houston!

18 more days until I am in Charleston!

July 21 is the day my brother is getting married!!

2 is the number of dogs I will have to fly with to get to the wedding!

64 is the number of days I will be living in Charleston!

1,456,555 seems like the number of times I have sent out my resume looking for a new job either in Charleston or Houston!

2 more days until the weekend!

I am back from my vacation and have about 2,000 blog posts to read in my Google reader! It's a little overwhelming. I have so many pictures I need to put on my computer, but for now these will have to do!

Now I have so much to do this week. My tenant that is leasing my apartment for the summer arrives in exactly a week. I haven't done anything at all to get ready for her. I need to put so many things into boxes and get them out of my apartment. I don't know that I will get to blogging about my trip any time soon! I am linking up with Savanah again!
